Making its official debut at the Kentucky Bourbon Festival, the series pays homage to the philosophy of an unedited book, offering a bourbon uncut at cask strength and non-chill filtered, exactly as intended.

To achieve its signature depth, Volume 5 marries select straight bourbons from Kentucky, Tennessee, and Texas. The blend relies on Milam & Greene’s signature process of “Texification,” allowing the intense Texas Hill Country heat and dramatic temperature swings to drive deep interaction between the wood and the liquid. This process harmonizes the rich, creamy palate of aged Kentucky bourbon, the smooth finish of Tennessee whiskey, and the bold, vibrant spice of Texas distillate into a single, cohesive narrative in the glass.

This edition marks an exciting milestone for the series, as acclaimed whiskey expert Fred Minnick, along with the award-winning Milam & Greene team, helped select the exceptional liquid for this new launch. Together, they delivered a complex, mahogany-colored expression that beautifully balances savory oak with a vibrant, tropical sweetness. The bourbon offers an oily mouthfeel that opens with rich aromas of Demerara sugar and baked stone fruits, transitioning into a warm, decadent palate of sticky toffee pudding and warm baking spices before a long, mint-kissed finish.

● Color: Mahogany
● Nose: Demerara sugar, cinnamon, dusty oak, cocoa powder, peach cobbler.
● Palate: A lovely oily mouthfeel with loads of sweetness right up front. Fig bar, sticky toffee pudding, cinnamon rolls, stone fruit. The sweetness is balanced nicely by light oak and a subtle note of biscuit.
● Finish: The finish is medium long with a touch of warmth. The sweetness continues with notes of peach and tropical fruit alongside marzipan, nutmeg, and fresh mint.
